The problem
A B2B SaaS video studio needed a marketing site as cinematic as the work it sells: animated, autoplaying video, conversion-focused, yet still fast on mobile and visible in search. Heavy animation and autoplay video usually fight performance, so the real challenge was doing both at once.
The solution
- Built roughly 15 statically prerendered routes (home, work, services and detail pages, industries, process, pricing, checkout, blog, about, contact, FAQ, legal) with React, TypeScript and vite-react-ssg, so every page ships real HTML for SEO and fast first paint.
- Engineered a cinematic hero with a fast-start ambient autoplay showreel plus a click-to-play video lightbox, backed by scroll-driven GSAP + ScrollTrigger animation and Lenis smooth scroll.
- Held the line on speed: lazy-loaded the animation engine and switched it off on mobile (about 130KB saved), inlined critical CSS, used font-display: optional and poster-first video with a fast-start MP4 remux, and gated all motion on viewport, pointer and reduced-motion.
- Wired backendless lead-capture and checkout flows with Web3Forms, per-route meta, OpenGraph and JSON-LD (Organization, Service, Breadcrumb, WebSite), auto sitemap and robots, and interaction-deferred GTM analytics.
The result
A reliable 95+ mobile Lighthouse score with all Core Web Vitals green (FCP about 1.5s, LCP about 1.9s, CLS 0), instant client-side navigation after removing a per-route data fetch that stalled SPA nav, and a cinematic, conversion-focused site live at saasexplain.com.
