CMS Migration

The biggest fear with a migration is losing your Google rankings. It is a real risk and it is avoidable. I migrate your content and products, map old URLs to new ones with proper redirects, and rebuild on your new platform so you keep your SEO and momentum.

What's included

  • Full content and product migration
  • URL mapping and 301 redirects to preserve SEO
  • Rebuild on WordPress, Shopify or Squarespace
  • Metadata, structure and internal links carried over
  • Testing so nothing breaks at switch-over
  • Post-launch monitoring of indexing and traffic

Most migrations take 2 to 4 weeks depending on size and complexity. You get a clear plan before anything changes.

FAQ

CMS Migration: common questions

Will I lose my Google rankings when I migrate?

Not if it is done properly. The key is mapping every old URL to its new one with 301 redirects and preserving your metadata and structure. Done right, you keep your rankings through the move.

Which platforms do you migrate between?

Most commonly WordPress and WooCommerce to Shopify, but also between WordPress, Shopify and Squarespace in either direction. Tell me where you are and where you want to be.

How long does a migration take?

Usually 2 to 4 weeks depending on how much content and how many products you have, and how custom the new build is. You get a clear timeline before we start.

Will my site be down during the migration?

No. I build and test the new site separately, then switch over with redirects in place, so disruption is minimal and your current site stays live until the new one is ready.
